The municipal taxes in our region are administered by the “Noordelijk Belastingkantoor.”
These taxes primarily cover two essential services – water purification and water delivery system, as well as garbage disposal. The annual associated with these municipal taxes typically range between 400 and 600 euros a year.
Water Tax:
This tax contributes to the funding of water purification processes to ensure a clean and safe water supply. It supports the maintenance and improvement of water quality standards in our community.
Garbage Tax:

Bathroom & Toilet use
Shower: Please make sure to use a hair catcher in your shower drain. Hair is a common cause of clogs, which can lead to slow drainage and potential water overflow. A simple hair catcher can effectively trap hair and prevent it from entering the drain, minimizing the risk of blockages. In addition to using a hair catcher, we recommend regularly cleaning and removing any hair that may have collected around the drain and in the shower area. This simple maintenance task can help prevent buildup and ensure proper water flow during your showers.
Toilet: To avoid blockages and potential damage to the plumbing system, please remember to flush only toilet paper down the toilet. Items such as wipes, sanitary products, paper towels, and other materials can cause blockages and lead to costly repairs.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
