PROBLEMS WITH LAUNDRY MACHINES

CHECKLIST
If water remains in the drum and/or the appliance does not spin, it could be due to the following:
1. Drain pump is clogged
2. The drain hose is blocked
3. There is a kink in the drain hose
4. Check if the washing machine is plugged in
5. If you cannot open the door, watch this!
Here are a few other common issues with washing machines, and their potential solutions:
Check if the water is turned on and if the hoses are connected to the washing machine. If they’re not, turn the water on and connect the hoses.
Check if there is too much laundry in the washing machine. If there is, remove some of it and try running the machine again.
Check your pockets before loading the machine to avoid items like coins or cards causing damage to the machine.
A clogged filter is often the reason washing machines stop working, so make sure to clean it regularly to avoid any issues
Using liquid detergent on low-temperature laundry cycles can leave a residue in the washing machine, causing bad smells and streaks on clothes. Using powder detergent dissolves better at lower temperatures
and is less likely to cause issues.

CHECKLIST
Is the dryer not drying your laundry properly? If so, this could be due to the following:
1. The filter is clogged (solution: watch this video)
2. The drum is too full
3. The laundry comes out wet (solution: spin your laundry first, before putting it in the dryer)
Here are a few other common issues with dryer machines, and their potential solutions:
Check to make sure that the dryer is plugged in and that the circuit breaker hasn’t been tripped.
The door switch is broken: If the door switch is broken, the dryer won’t start.(inform Herman Witgoed)
Check if the lint filter is clogged, a clogged lint filter can restrict airflow, causing the dryer to overheat and shut off before the clothes are fully dry.
